Designed as a contemporary gateway to Solent Airport, this concept hotel balances understated elegance with a strong architectural presence.
Its simple, rectilinear form is softened by generous glazing, warm natural materials and carefully proportioned communal spaces, creating a building that feels equally at home within the landscape and the dynamic environment of the airfield.
The transparent ground floor opens restaurants, lounges and reception areas onto landscaped terraces, while upper floors provide calm, light-filled accommodation with uninterrupted views across the apron.
More than an airport hotel, the proposal establishes a destination in its own right. The design combines hospitality, business and social spaces within a refined architectural language that prioritises light, proportion and longevity over fashion. Conceived to support the continued evolution of Solent Airport, the building demonstrates how thoughtful design can create a sense of arrival that is both memorable and enduring.
